·
Think about what you want your mountain bike for
· Always go for the best frame you can afford
· Take bikes for a test ride – make sure you
are comfortable with the position and handling of the bike
· If you are going to be riding off-road front suspension
(at least) is advisable
· Bargain hunters can save loads in October &
November as the new models come out
· Make sure you can get spare parts – old models
may be cheaper but spares may be harder to get
· Buy a good helmet & spares kit

Follow
the Rules of the Trail
Now,
more than ever, responsible riding is essential to help
ensure the long-term health of mountain biking – and
the areas that truly make the mountain biking experience
what it is. By following the ‘Rules
of the Trail’ you can ride responsibly and help
to minimise your impact on the area and the people you encounter
during your ride.
